Our Mission Statement
To rescue and foster shelter dogs and find new loving homes for them. We foster for rescues such as
St. Anthony's Canine Rescue,
B.A.R.K and
Cardigan
Corgi Rescue.
We also rescue shelter dogs with either medical or personality issues directly that we feel would be put to sleep otherwise.

Dogs have
traveled many routes to
Rags
To Riches Rescue.
Some were purchased by families on a whim, families that did not
understand the temperament or the needs of such a hairy, noisy,
or energetic pet. Others lost their homes when an owner became
too old or sick to provide the necessary care or when a family's
lifestyle changed because of job loss or divorce, and still
others were picked up as strays or dumped by owners who wanted
freedom from the responsibility of dog care. Some go directly
from a home into rescue; others come by way of shelters. |

Shelters seldom have a
selection of dogs of a particular breed and almost never
have time to teach manners, evaluate temperament, or
treat minor illnesses and are not usually aware of the
nuances of breed behavior. We work with the dog to
evaluate the personality and then help to match that dog
with the perfect family. See our

We
create and sell rag leashes, rag bandanas as well as
other dog items. All profits go to rescue other dogs, or
to help out the charities such as
CorgiAid
and
LABMED
who help pay for the medical needs of rescue dogs.
